NOTICE TO ALL PARENTS / CAREGIVERS
Help us keep our kids safe !!!
IN THE CAR PARK, ON THE ROAD AND THOSE EARLY BIRDS TO SCHOOL
Before School:
Children do not need to be at school before 8.25am
- Those children arriving early are to go to the Hall, not the classroom {A duty staff member will take charge of them}
Parking:
- Please do not hold up traffic;
- Do not double park;
- Do not park in no parking areas;
- Do not drop children off into the traffic;
- Do not back out on to the State Highway.
All these things are common problems caused by parents, every day in our school.
Travelling Safely to School:
Patrolled school crossings operate between 8.25am to 8.45am and 3.00pm to 3.20pm. It makes good safety sense for children to cross these busy roads during the time the patrol is on.
We now have a reduced speed area operating in the Hillcrest suburb behind the school. Our children are using the new crossings as though they are zebra crossings. This is dangerous as cars are not required to stop. Please talk with your children about this to reinforce the messages from class teachers.
Scooters and Skateboards:
Our children are using these on footpaths where they are sharing the space with pedestrians. They need to take care and share the space considerately. A reminder that children may not ride on scooters, skateboards or bikes inside the school grounds. We have a large number of scooters coming to school and there are scooter racks available for their storage during the school day.
THE SAFETY OF OUR KIDS MUST BE A PRIORITY FOR ALL OF US
